除了魷魚鮮甜爽口,我十分欣賞其炸得不油不膩的外層,十分討人歡喜。最令人印象深刻的是店家獨創的白色cream. Cream 帶點蒜蓉、辣椒和檸檬的混合香氣,與海鮮配合得天衣無縫。

把它形容成泡沫一點也不過份,薯仔的纖維已經打得無影無蹤,絲質的口感,彷彿如泡沫般輕柔,sweet potato foam 甜甜的、輕輕的在口中溶化,餘下八爪魚塊仍然不妥協地與你打牙骹戰,極端的口感創造了和諧的口味。

我吃下去的第一個反應是酸得令人面部一皺。。。它不走甜美路線,口感來說它是creamy 的,口味來說它的柚子、檸檬汁酸得令人印象深刻!很了得,很有個性的Yuzu Tart, 下一回,我還是會來挑戰你的!

整體來說,是晚過得非常愉快。由談天到品嚐西班牙小食,都很滿足。

很少在一間餐廳吃飯,可以感覺到每道菜都滿意、滿分。Timon 是會再encore 的心水餐廳之一!

Tapas即係西班牙菜的小點心,種類繁多,通常以小碟盛戴,亦是佐酒之選。

我覺得這裡的Tapas跟兿術結合,賣相相當吸引。

Smoked Eel 是店員推介,魚肉質柔軟,伴食的是芝士粒,芝味香濃,味道又不會太嗆而蓋過魚香。食用花作裝飾實在太美,謀殺不少菲林。

甜品的Yuzu Tart,如沒吃過真的會走寶,實在深得我心。

撻底有著強勁的牛油香,中間酸酸咪咪,好fresh感覺。還有淸新的柚子香,吃過後突然醒神起來了。

由好多新鮮生果造成,紅酒香濃,完全冇比生果嘅甜味蓋過,口味富有層次感。

食完海鮮,我哋轉左口味試吓佢哋呢度嘅肉料理,選舉不多,就叫左Crispy Pork with Orange Honey Sauce HK 108。

呢個又係我印象非常深刻嘅菜式之一。

廣東菜裏面燒肉我哋食得多,皮厚豬肉帶點乾係我哋食嘅普通標準。

呢度嘅燒脆皮豬,外層燒到脆卜卜,入口即溶。令人驚嘆其火喉既恰到好處。

做得貼近意大利飯嘅口感,每一粒飯都非常乾爽,小小既一盒份量,相信大廚也落足心機烹飪。。。裡面既蝦粒同墨魚粒,食得出係新鮮嘅海鮮材料,絕無馬虎。

食過Timon , 好欣賞佢對食材新鮮度嘅追求,西班牙菜傳統做法嘅堅持,精緻嘅份量真係落足心機去做。所以每道菜,每一啖都食出誠意,客人食過,絕對會再次光顧!

Timon is located at the end of Ship Street, nearer QRE.  Staff is helpful and friendly and the interiors tastefully decorated.  We (a party of 2) were the only diners tonight, and the (at best mediocre) quality of the food is to blame for that.  At the outset we were informed that they had no clams, mussels or scallops.  For a seafood tapas place, that to me seems to be unacceptable.  We ended up ordering 4 tapas: garlic prawns (two small tired pieces), mushrooms (woody chewy texture), the calam

At the outset we were informed that they had no clams, mussels or scallops.  For a seafood tapas place, that to me seems to be unacceptable.  We ended up ordering 4 tapas: garlic prawns (two small tired pieces), mushrooms (woody chewy texture), the calamari (my guess from frozen) and the cod croquettes (passable).  The best part of the meal was the wine, and at $85/glass for house wine, it should be drinkable.

I give this place until the end of its lease.

We choose Timon with friends, and we choose the famous Spaninish drink - One bottle of Red sangria and One bottle of White sangria, i perosnally like White, quite fruity with more bubbles and feel like Champagne! Good for festival celebration.

We choose some Tapas for wine pairing, those spanish chorizo, avocado toast and tomato toast, grilled octopus, spicy clam and cheese platter. The spicy clam is fresh and delicious.

The little restaurant located in the corner, ship street, wanchai. 2 level with nie decoration and service, not too commercial, i really like the wall design, all fish and use ocean blue as theme in the overall design, love it.

i am sure i will go there next time, and i will love to try their weekend menu

此菜色一送上時豬的味道四溢,吃一口下去真的覺得「很豬呀!」一開始覺得味道太重有點難以接受,但再吃第二口第三口就覺得愈來愈好吃,而豬的味道由一開始的不喜歡的重口味慢慢變成很可口的豬肉香味,真的非常神奇!搭配的紅菜頭醬汁應該起了不少功勞,是非常有驚喜的一道菜!

來到甜品時間,大家都十分期待,送上的蘋果撻份量不少,直徑應該有8-10cm,外皮烤得非常脆,蘋果的甜度也剛好,配上雲呢嗱cream簡直是完美!最可惜這家店沒有只賣甜品的服務......

總結:如果不是這個Spanish Week我應該不會留意到這家餐廳吧,不過就算留意到,也可能覺得貴而放棄,這次能夠以$198 (已包加一) 就可以享受到5道菜實屬超值!平常時間午餐好像是$150 - $200左右,留下卡片有八折,有機會可以再來試試看,氣氛不錯!

Spanish Food Festival is happening now with participating restaurants including Catalunya, FoFo by el Willy, La Paloma, Timón Seafood Tapas, Quemo and Plaza Mayor! Catalunya, FoFo and La Paloma are some of my favorite Spanish restaurants in HK but I haven't been to the others before so I was excited to try the Spanish Food Festival dinner menu at Timón Seafood Tapas! What sets Timón apart is their focus on seafood as the chef picks the freshest seafood from local wet market everyday and the finest ingredients from Spain in order to deliver the best Spanish style seafood experience. The space was very stylish with a casual bar area on the ground floor and dining tables on the second floor. I love the vibrant aqua color scheme which ties in with the emphasis on seafood throughout.

For the Spanish Food Festival, Timón is offering a 5-course lunch menu for $198 and a 6-course dinner menu for $428 per person. Here's what we tried on the dinner menu:

Chips w/ Pickled Mussels Dip - I liked the dip which tasted more like tuna to me but it would have been better if it was served with thicker chips as these were too thin and crumbled easily.

Black Sausage Ravioli w/ Confit Piquillo Pepper - an intriguing presentation of ingredients as the ravioli was placed on top of the black sausage instead of encasing it like a normal ravioli would and I wasn't sure if it worked better. I liked the ravioli skin though which was thin and easy to chew through - almost like a liang pi (noodle skin) in Xian cuisine.

Stuffed Turbot w/ Prawns, Porcini Mushroom & Velouté Sauce - it was interesting to be served fish with stuffing and I actually quite liked the stuffing but I just thought that the clams were more of an afterthought in the way they were presented here.

主菜則是三選二。我倆都不想吃飯,就揀了另外兩款主菜。

Fresh Tuna Tataki with Mix of Vegetables and Tomato 是日式製法,吞拿魚表面經輕燒過,散發出微微的香氣,魚肉裡面仍然保持嫩滑,可惜這道菜的味道稍淡,顯得較為平淡,幸好配菜中的蕃茄粒和雜菜可以稍為彌補到這方面的不足。

Chocolate Ganache with Orange Liquor + Cheese Mousse and Red Fruit Jelly其實已可算是兩道甜品吧!以圓身玻璃瓶子上桌奉客的芝士慕絲配紅色水果啫喱,面層的啫喱正好可以消解去底層芝士慕絲的甜膩,兩者配合得宜,這甜品的處理實在不錯。

另一道甜品Orange Liquor + Chocolate Almond Cake with Whisky Cream,朱古力和杏仁都是我喜歡的食物,兩者結合製作而成的蛋糕當然能討我的歡心,少許的酒味和橙味也令這朱古力杏仁蛋糕增添魅力。

這餐廳週午餐給我的印象,是這店子的環境和服務都是不錯的,特別是環境,我頗喜歡,至於食物方面,這次所試的各道菜式,自己覺得都有一定的水準,不過灣仔區,包括船街在內,吃西班牙菜的餐廳多的是,臥虎藏龍,要在眾多西班牙餐廳中突圍而出,可真不容易,加上這兒偏處一隅,特別容易為人忽略,如果沒有好的口碑,便難以在這區立足了。Timon,努力吧!

Surprisingly, the menu is not expensive at all! With the price and the portion, you can try a few more dishes… Well, I guess that’s the wonders of Tapas!
We weren’t really that hungry and really just wanted some snacks, so we ordered Deep-fried Calamari, Slow-cooked Chorizo and Mixed Wild Mushroom with Truffle Olive Oil.

Deep-fried Calamari – too my surprise, this is not oily at all! The calamari is different than what most calamari you normally eat. I thought the dip was the highlight, because there was something special in it that made it tasted very refreshing!

Slow-cooked Chorizo – This is number one for meat lovers! It tasted very good because it was dranged in sauce! Personally, not a big fan of meat, but would still defintiely recommend! 

Mixed wild Mushroom – This is my favorite dish, just because I am a mushroom lover and a sucker for truffle! The egg yolk was a very good combination with the different types of mushrooms, there is several different textures to it… some mushrooms were crunchy and some were the softer kind. It smells really good with truffle oil and the mushroom was excellent! I recommend this dish to any mushroom lovers!

Dessert – a meal is not really completely with dessert, so we order 2 dessert. Poached Pear with White chocolate foam and hazelnut and Crème Catalana.

Poached Pear with White chocolate foam and hazelnut – I have to say, one of the most special desserts I have had! The foamed white chocolate makes it taste very smooth, The dessert is not super sweet because of the white chocolate was foamed and also the pear add some citrus taste to the dessert. The hazelnut, made it extra tasty and nutty. It was the perfect combination! My personal favorite!!

A new spanish restaruant has recently join in the race ( together with Ship 22, Quemo, Ham & Sherry, La Cobi, Viva Ana all within walking distance) and this one is operated by a leading Jamon producer in Barcelona. With such a background, expectation on the food is high!

The restaurant has 2 level with kitchen and a bar downstairs, and the dining area above. The space is compact but still manage to be inviting and cheerful. The food focuses mainly on small tapas and it didnt dissapoint. Some of the dishes we tried are:

1)Iberico Bellota -The restaurant serves their own brand and this one is among the top. The deep purple color and the shinny surface endure it is fresh. The accorn sweet smell is intense and the meat is flavorful. Portion of 50g is generous.  

2)Razoe Clam with Romesco sauce - The presentation is simple and attractive. It comes with plenty of orange romesco sauce made of pepper, garlic and nuts. It is a sauce orignated from catalonia. The meat is tender and the spicyness of the sauce adds layer to the dish.

3)Gambas al Pil Pil- This is a basque dish and the shrimps are quite big. It comes with the shrimp head which ensures its freshness. Fried with garlic, pepper and sherry, the sauce enhanced but not overwhelm the intense flavour of the shrimp.         

The food overall is pleasing and it offers good value for the customers. This place is ideal for small group who likes intimate and secluded settings.
