偷看餐廳格局感覺良好, 想也不想就進去了, 那時也9時多, 店內7成full~ 我倆先被安排到餐廳的中心, 正打算研究menu時侍應說可以move到餐廳的角落, 枱大一點, 也較舒適~ 侍應還說也不說地幫我拿行李, 這是第一次感受到這裡的貼心服務, 之後全晚也繼續有很好的待遇...

dinner set分成為3/4/5courses, 不同價錢... 我倆都選了3courses... 始終也晚了, 而且每人3 courses也相當豐富呢~ order後上餐前小食, 是每人兩件finger food::: 吞拿魚+梳打餅::: ::: 牛油果蝦肉+梳打餅:::: 我最喜歡牛油果那個配答, creamy得來牛油果很香, 配上淡味的梳打餅剛好中和了, 而吞拿魚則是罐頭的, 但也加了cream, 也是可口的~ 餐前小食也下了工夫, 絕不馬虎, 加上賣相精美, 給我倆很好的1st 印象~

但當我倆還未吃完餐前小食, 未開始麵包時, 我倆的頭盤也紛紛到來了~ 聞到如此的香味, 當然要先吃頭盤啦~ 我所說的香味來自我的 :::white asparagus+porch egg+ truffle butter source:::, 兩條肥大的露筍上有一只porch egg, 配的是松露汁, 那松露的香味差點叫我不拍照便動口呢! 面對這一只大蛋我也不知如何是好, 只好把蛋黃弄破了~ 其實覺得asparagus配蛋也不是太夾, 這只白露筍比起我之前在ole所吃過[的較好, 不過未至於非常鮮甜...話雖如此, 但總是覺得這個頭盤叫我滿心歡喜

只顧著自己的頭盤, 也忘了聞一下MP的:::鵝肝:::~ 一小塊的鵝肝不是滿口油膩的, 反而有點質感, 很好~ 而且底下的烘過的麵包也很好吃, 當然配鵝肝是一流的~ 這裡賣的不是大件頭, 所以我起初覺得鵝肝很細件, 但其實也只是眼闊肚窄, 少食多滋味啊~

邊等主菜, 邊慢慢喝著法國2006年的白酒. 我倆不知道原來這裡免corkage, 所以在這裡點了支白酒~ 下次可以自行帶酒來呢! 帶花香味的白酒不是很甜的貨式, 配我的主菜很適合~ 也不知道原來MP比較喜歡白酒呢~ 原來每次的晚飯也可以了解他多一點~ 不知不覺間就見到侍應捧著我的:::sea bass:::及MP的:::lamb duo::::出場~ 先說賣相, 鱸魚用超級薄的薯仔片包著, 浸在一個很清的湯裡 (哈我資歷不足, 不知那是甚麼湯), 感覺得清新開胃~ 而MP的duo則是一件羊架, 和一條羊roll, roll下還有scambled egg+toast ... 看到已知是濃味之作~ 我倆的main一清一濃, 剛好平衡了

chilean sea bass的做法很有特色, 包在薄薄的薯仔片裡, 薯仔上有一點芝士再焗, 而內裡的魚肉鮮甜嫩滑, 浸在那湯裡更覺清甜~ 是對我近期經常痛的胃一個很好的交代~ 相反, MP的:::: lamb duo:::: 就成了強烈對比~ 羊架食後感不太強烈, 因羊味未夠突出, 而且也不只4成熟, 相比我倆在oliva所吃到的還差一大距離~ 反而那羊roll就有驚喜!! menu說內裡包著goat cheese~ 但我倆所吃到的更像是pate~ 這個卷的羊肉味就夠突出了, 而且生熟程度更符合我倆的要求~ 配上蛋及多士一併吃, 我認為這卷羊為整個duo加分添色彩~

來到這時我已經飽了, 加上一點酒氣開始累... 但經理卻用MP的大相機來跟我倆打開話題, 其實侍應也有跟MP談論這個拍照問題, 加上我倆又要求拿menu... 侍應便很識做地連lunch menu 也給我們介紹, 其實這個手法很危險, 一不小心便很易變hard sell... 但他們給我的感覺卻是很友善~ 反而令我覺得他們很熱情, 服務得很好~

隨之而上的是我倆最後一個course~甜品~ 我要了平時甚少吃的:::souffle (lime)::: 和MP一貫作風::: american brownie+ice cream:::~ 平時少吃souffle是因為怕資素不好變相吃糖~ 但這裡的做得挺不錯~ 蛋白很香也不算太甜... 但反而覺得lime跟souffle不太夾, 我是怕MP不喜歡薑味, 但原來他也prefer薑呢... 再一次証明每天也有新aspect可以了解~~~
快快地清了梳乎里後吃brownie~ 這個甜品有4層, 由最頂的milk cream, vanilla ice cream, 到下層的燒波蘿和主角brownie~ ~ 結果我倆把波蘿移開了, 因單是最簡單的雪糕加朱古力已經很滿足~ 要讚這裡的brownie做很乾濕剛好, 但朱古力味卻是濃得化不開~ MP說甚至nuts都有應有的nuts味~ 很厲害!!

二人都完成了每人3courses, 食力超凡! 不是甚麼特別日子或紀念日, 卻吃很開懷, 談得高興~ 在毫無心理準備之下吃到如此令人滿意回味的晚餐, 不是緣份是甚麼?!

First impressions are very important. In Twyst, our first impressions was that it is an intimate, quiet restaurant for a satisfying meal. I would say in this case, we were disappointed. First impressions are very important. In Twyst, our first impressions was that it is an intimate, quiet restaurant for a satisfying meal.

I would say in this case, we were disappointed. Reading the menu alone, the food indeed looked well-dressed and fancy (foie gras, lobster bisque, chilean seabass). When it arrived, it also looked very well-presented and sophisticated. However, the taste of the food is a letdown. Lobster bisque had a blunt bitter taste and lacks aroma. The cream sauce on the seabass and indian king prawn completely masked the natural flavors of the food. I did think the dessert - pannacotta and the foie gras were quite passable but nothing special. If I had to pick the best dish of the whole course, it had to be the pannacotta. To cut the story short, it felt like dating a girl who puts on impeccable makeup and a very nice dress but when she talkes, you immediately know she is a total hick.

Service is very unenthused with wait staff completely unable to answer many questions about the food but are trying to make up something even though they don't know what your question means. They also served the wrong food to our table at least 2 times.

No wow factor. Try at your own risk.

-我先食個魚,魚肉厚身,好juicy,完全無over cook到,得
-隻蝦都幾大隻,我就分到近蝦尾部份,好爽彈,亦有少少鮮味
-呢味很不錯呢

iv) 甜品 - panna cotta w/home made cannolis
-panna cotta比較流質,佢好明顯唔喺呢個甜品嘅重點
-個圓筒先至喺主角,好鬆,有蛋味,亦有杏仁片添

v) 餐飲

- 整體個賣相好靚,顏色亦奪目。甜品環節嘅心思也不少

- 個服務都好好

- 碗碟清洗好認真..........因我會樣嘢都會share嚟食,時常要攞額外碗碟,真喺少有見到會燙手得咁利害

It was my birthday. So, I hosted a little dinner party to celebrate with my frds at Twyst.Firstly, thank you the owner, Angela for helping me out on hosting this dinner party for 22 people. It was difficult to plan for a group this size with 4 courses dinner.The ambiance of Twyst was very nice. Spacious and not too noisy. The best is... no corkage charge. The dishes we had that night were pretty nice. They were big too.Overall, it was a good choice for simple celebration.

I originally tried to book a table at Fusion 5th Floor in the same building but it was full that night so I booked Twyst instead. I have eaten at Fusion 5th Floor a couple of times before and thought the food and ambience were excellent. But I had never tried Twyst before so was a bit skeptical taking my friends there for the first time. There were seven of us so we were given a private room with a square table (which I requested). I personally prefer a square table to a long table for a party of 6 to 8 guests because a square facilitates more interaction and synergy within a group - similar to a round table typically found in Chinese restaurants. Western dining at a square table is what I consider a nice "twyst", haha!
The specialty on the menu was of course the baked crab appetiser (limited quantity every night and always very popular among patrons). But please note that there is a surcharge of HK$50 if you choose the baked crab over other selections on the appetisers menu.
When the cream of mushroom soup i ordered was served, the waiter actually brought an empty bowl with some truffle oil inside, he then filled the empty bowl with hot cream of mushroom soup poured from another serving bowl. Though gimmicky, it was still unique compared to the conventional way of serving a bowl of soup directly.
The pasta with wagyu beef cheek was memorable - the beef cheek was very tender and tasty, though the pasta was a bit dry for my taste.
The duck leg confit and the prime rib steak were pretty good, and the pork medallions were very tender and tasty.
Free corkage charge was also a nice touch.
In my opinion, the food quality was high enough for connoisseurs. I rank the food quality right up there with that of Fusion 5th Floor, what puzzled me was that it wasn't packed with guests like Fusion 5th Floor. Perhaps somebody else on this site can enlighten me?

由於 Bonheur 一早爆滿,於是選擇同一大廈又從未去過的Twyst。我同另外兩個朋友都是第一次來,星期五的夜晚出奇地發覺冇乜客,同樓下的 Bonheur 和 Fusion on 5/F 有強烈的對比。我頭盤要煎鵝肝,味道都幾好,但略嫌煎得未夠香口。朋友要左芝士蟹蓋,幾好食,夠真材實料。頭盤後有龍蝦濃湯,味道好濃,不過只得一丁點的龍蝦肉,湯的份量亦嫌太少。主菜我要 prime rib eye,佢唔似平時在其它地方的 rib eye,反而好似燒牛肉,上碟時已經幫你切埋。份量好少,肉好「淋」,唔可以話佢唔好食,但我心目中的 rib eye質感同賣相唔係咁。朋友要左煎野生三文魚,朋友話味道的確同平日吃的養魚不同。三人甜品都不同,爙杏仁卷、自製 parfait 及心太軟,冇乜特別。侍應好有奈性同你講解食物,態度好好。這裏價錢同 Bonheur 不煌多讓,但食物份量及質素就差一截,應該唔會再來。

街上行人稀少,刮起的強風吹翻街上的物件, 有些被吹得搖搖欲墮. 今晚約了一班朋友試酒,但熱情的 twyst 員工, 依然留守崗位, 繼續營業, 令我驚恐的心情,立即緩和. 不需取消約會.今晚轉了新食物, actually TWYST 每月都會更改食物, 今個月開始還可以叫 A LA CARTE, 不像以前要 3 COURSES/4COURSES/5COURSES. I ordered a Chilled US Asparagus with Beef Carpaccio, Fennel Salad, the sauce is so perfect matched with the food. 兩星期前好友譚美替我預祝生日,選了公司附近的Twyst,這是我第三次來用膳。是日選擇:頭盤 - 特式拼盤 (原本選沙律,但是日缺貨就選了拼盤作為頭盤)評語:真的好有特式,用蘋果配上parma ham意料之外好味,炸釀軟殼蟹配及芒果杯均是開胃菜的不二之選湯 - 意大利雜菜湯 (一定會提供意大利鮮蕃茄醬及麵包)評語:較偏愛鮮蕃茄醬及麵包、湯的味道較清淡主菜 - 我選煎雞胸蔬菜卷、譚美選煎肉眼扒(八成熟)評語:雞胸肉質略靭,肉眼扒非常juicy及嫰滑甜品 - 咖啡焦糖布甸及咖啡評語:個人較愛熱食所以淺嚐幾口,而譚美對此凍食較喜愛讚口不絶是次午餐非常滿意,一邊食一邊讚,學同事寵兒哥哥話齋“勁東西”

評語:個人較愛熱食所以淺嚐幾口,而譚美對此凍食較喜愛讚口不絶

是次午餐非常滿意,一邊食一邊讚,學同事寵兒哥哥話齋“勁東西”

A month ago, I had a wine dinner there. Everything was ok and nice, but not impressive. Reasonable price. Nice environment. The positive thing was the service. They provided me 4 decanters for our wines. The glasses were very good. Super nice place for wine lovers.The dishes are as follow,1.) The dishes are as follow,

1.) Scallop Carpaccio, Chilled US Asparagus on Grapefruit Jell-O with Parmesan Crisp
--- scallop was nice but cannot say good. The grapefruit jell-o was good for me. It was too bitter and sour for others.

2.) Lobster Bisque with Cognac Cappuccino
--- not very special but still quite ok

3.) Surf & Turf (Char Grilled Australian King Prawn & US Angus Rib Eye with Demi Glaze)
--- the prawn was over cooked, rib eye was ok.

4.) Panna Cotta Almond Cannolis with Mix Fruits Salad
--- the dish looks good, but taste was not too impressive. Too watery. They tried to have new idea, but ......

上星期六同六個紅酒朋友去食飯,帶左五支酒都冇收我地 corkage。叔叔 (waiter) 好有心機介紹 menu,我地叫完又改都無發脾氣。好欣賞個 Fresh Crabmeat Au Gratin,啖啖肉,蟹肉又甜,超正!好可惜得番四個,有D人要轉食 foie gras。我地仲叫左三個 Ravioli,但係佢地得番一個,又唔夠食,老闆話D野要新鮮,所以唔係入好多貨。食到個 main 已經飽飽地, 叫左個 rib eye, 唔係好夠生,但係都 ok,個汁幾好味。真係要多謝紅酒 friends 幫我安排今餐飯 :)

唔係唔好食,不過如果要做set dinner, food selection實在太窄囉..頭盤啊.. 只有兩 三款..又沒有多selection夠膽要人家點at least 4-course set..我喝那個腎衰竭lobster bisque...waitress已經說是很濃的。但我覺鹹跟濃是不同的.我只覺得鹹得太過份,跟本喝不下去。我跟waitress說喝不下去,too salty, 她說:“對。我們的湯比較濃“.......算吧啦。魚... 幾好啦幾滑啦.. char-grilled steak.. yes.. pretty char-grilled... not bad la..for dessert, i picked the crepes... hrmm.. 唔好食.. 皮竟然是爽口的... yuck.. all the dishes' portions are quite small.... for me, i prefer the one on the 5th
