主菜, 牛肉眼, 半熟, 肉質有點乾但都唔差, 最緊要牛味夠濃, 好味! 黑毛豬做得相當之好, 我雖然好中意食牛, 但都覺呢個豬既肉香味並不比我果塊牛肉眼弱, 好味!

預約時已經同經理講好是慶祝生日, 所以佢都準備左嚮甜品上面寫上happy bday, 手字唔錯!
左邊果個係啤酒味既啫喱杯, 唔算好甜, 但我麻麻地中意啤酒味。右邊果個係chocolate brownie, 夠濃夠甜, 我都唔中意甜.. haha! 不過呢一餐飯係要有甜品先至完美既!

最後, 不得不讚呢度既店經理非常細心, 服務周到! 當我地食完個扒, 佢都會問我地洗唔洗抖下先上意粉, 佢都feel到我地飽呢.. 說實話, 佢地每道菜既份量都唔小架。每位$350, 無加一, 非常公道既價錢! 紅/ 白酒 $45/杯, 更可自攜酒。好滿足!

Was thinking where to go for dinner, fd of mine recommended this place. Honestly, I haven't gave my hopes up as I dine out almost every night and been disappointed a million times, but this time was different.Decoration there wasn't elegant but made you feel very homey and comfy, it's actually the kinda restaurant I prefer. Service was great although there's only 1 manager/server, he's very polite, attentive and helpful. Food wise, started with Bruschetta, pretty fresh and tasty tomatoes on top.

Decoration there wasn't elegant but made you feel very homey and comfy, it's actually the kinda restaurant I prefer. Service was great although there's only 1 manager/server, he's very polite, attentive and helpful.

Food wise, started with Bruschetta, pretty fresh and tasty tomatoes on top. Appetizer, Razor clam & prawn salad, a lot of places use these clams for western cooking nowadays but mostly baked it with garlic & olive oil, unlike the rest, this one came with a warm salad on top which was sauteed chopped prawn & zucchini, gotta admit that I liked it a lot. Soup, not a regular hot 1 but it's Spanish frozen soup, that actually showed that both the chef & manager were really thoughtful, who would like a hot soup in this kinda weather??? Pasta, linguini with sausage, garlic, chilli & olive oil, amazingly tasty and al dente, wouldn't expect that in a place like this honestly. Main, lamb rack, I always order mine medium well but the manager suggested that it's better to have it medium, I was actually thinking hmmm ok but let's see until I had my first bite, it came out perfect, tender and juicy not bloody at all. Dessert, I don't really have sweet tooth but it's pretty good especially the Penna cotta, smooth & light according to fd of mine.

Overall, I was really surprise about everything here, this is just a small homey restaurant, cost you $350 for this set menu(there's choices for appetizer & main) think about worth it? I would say it's extremely good in value. Would definitely come back, in fact I've made reservation for next week.

P.S. Haven't took any pics as I'm not the kinda people who take pic for everything.

甜品麻麻, PANACOTTA 和白酒JELLY, 如果以如此水準, 我唔會比錢另點.

During our first few weeks in HK, our friends took us to try private dining at White House in Causeway Bay. Since we have never tried this type of dining experience before in HK, we were intrigued.

Having climbed a few flights of stairs, we entered into a spacious and softly lit room. It had a very cosy and intimate feel – a stark contrast to the noisy and chaotic battleground that is typical of many Chinese restaurants in HK.

We relaxed and chatted over a glass of wine before our first course arrived which was Bruschetta with cherry sauce. It was a very refreshing dish; the tomatoes were sweet and the cherry sauce accompanied it well.

Next Phil and I shared a Duck liver terrine salad and Dutch veal salad with tuna sauce. Both dishes were exquisitely presented and our host took great pride in describing the dishes to us.

The veal was delicately sliced and the texture was very tender and sweet. It was so good on its own that it didn’t need the tuna sauce, although it was an interesting combination. The duck liver was indulgently smooth against the crunchy toast, and the cherry sauce added sweetness to the dish.

We were then served Spaghetti with prawns tossed in garlic olive oil. The spaghetti was cooked to perfection and was fragrant with the garlic olive oil. The prawns was dusted with chilli which added another dimension to the dish.

Phil and I shared the fourth course as you get a choice of Sirloin steak, Rack of lamb or Pork ribeye, all served with vegetables. We couldn’t resist the steak and lamb.

The sirloin had a great flavour and the lamb was juicy and delicious. The vegetables complemented the meat well. We had purple sweet potato mash, babycorn, carrots and aubergine (we don’t have purple sweet potato in the UK and we love it!).

We finished the marathon of courses with a refreshing mixed fruit jelly and chunky chocolate brownie – what a night!

We really enjoyed our evening; we were made to feel very special as our attentive host took time to explain the dishes and kept our glasses topped up. The atmosphere at this private dining was very warm and relaxed. The quality of the food was excellent, the presentation well thought out, and the portion size was just fine. We chatted to the host and the chef afterwards and it was amazing what they achieved within a confined kitchen.

I would definitely recommend this place – take your friends so you can try their dishes too!

朋友生日想在銅鑼灣找一個比較寧靜的地方吃飯聊天, 到openrice找找, 就選到這個吃私房菜的地方慶祝生日.基本上私房菜都是靠口碑和飲食雜誌介紹為主, 在沒有亮眼的招牌和廣告下, 都是靠朋友介紹或者在openrice看看人家的食評, 所以看到好的食評, 都不會多想, 反正菜式價錢和地點等都合適, 試試又何妨呢?店址在時代廣場附近, 交通方便. 不過餐廳是在一幢唐樓的4樓, 對於穿了高跟鞋的我們是有一點點不方便啦. 裝潢方面以白色為主, 是簡潔舒適的設計, 很適合三五知己聊天聚餐. 經理很細心, 很喜歡他在適當的時候才出來招呼我們, 不會感到過份殷勤或不足, 吃完兩三度菜, 會問我們是否需要休息一會或繼續上菜, 完全沒有趕吃下一道菜的感覺, 我們吃完還多點了一瓶白酒繼續聊天, 因為氣氛真的很舒服。食物方物, 五道菜加甜品, 包括白酒醋澳洲蕃茄多士, 凍鴨肝配多士, 龍蝦湯, 羊架配蕃薯蓉, 大蝦意粉, 意式奶凍伴白酒生果啫喱每道菜都很好吃, 蕃茄多士醒胃提神; 鴨肝多士配對出色, 多士剛好中和了鴨肝的豐腴; 龍蝦湯稍稍咸了一點, 但很濃郁; 羊架選五成熟, 肉質剛好, 味濃多汁;

每道菜都很好吃, 蕃茄多士醒胃提神; 鴨肝多士配對出色, 多士剛好中和了鴨肝的豐腴; 龍蝦湯稍稍咸了一點, 但很濃郁; 羊架選五成熟, 肉質剛好, 味濃多汁; 個人推介蕃薯蓉, 用日本蕃薯蓉代替傳統的薯蓉, 十分清新, 很特別而且討好的一個配菜, LIKE!; 意粉是我喜愛的aldente, 微辣, 大蝦很新鮮; 甜品也不馬虎, 奶凍用了vanilla seed代替vanilla oil, 淡淡的雲呢拿香很討人歡喜, 白酒啫喱清新, 為吃飽了的肚皮refresh 一下.

總括來說, 感覺這是一家很有heart的私房菜, 無論經理的態度或食物的質素都見心思誠意, 很滿意這次的選擇. 一定會再次光臨!

有個朋友介紹間私房菜.話鵝肝同羊扒好好味.就打電話去訂枱啦!就問吓佢個晚有咩食呀?幾錢呀?原來佢哋係食5道菜嘅set dinner.都係$350大元但係點知我個晚啱啱轉menu.無鵝肝同無羊扒....成個人灰晒....於是就問吓佢可唔可以做份鵝肝比我呀?因為我女朋友超鐘意食~~點知個經理話破例轉此我.真係開心到爆^^^個晚我食白酒煮蜆.嘩D蜆好鬼大隻同埋好juice..而我女朋友就食鵝肝原來鵝肝上面有泡泡我唔記得叫咩<<佢話連埋一齊食會好啲.真係又幾得意同好夾個鵝肝.之後飲蘑菇湯個湯加左D黑松露菌..好香.好濃.第三道莱係Pasta,,,個Pasta有garlic oliver oil 同蝦仲有少少spicy.好醒胃...食多個仲可以呢!之後係主菜,,,我嘅主菜係黑毛豬豬扒.有驚喜***個豬扒都好嫩好有口感.我女朋友就食羊扒..最後dessert係意大利奶凍同白洒生果jelly...成餐晚飯我同我女朋友都好滿足...環境方面主要係白色為主都幾舒服都幾似返左屋企咁...最後大會出嚟同我哋吹吓水.............

第一次食意大利餐 諗住會同平時食既西餐無咩分別點知又比到我驚喜wor由其係個龍蝦湯 非常濃烈既龍蝦味 再加上佢係個湯到加左小小白蘭地 飲落更加香同埋個春雞都好好食 同我平時食既好唔同 滑得黎又唔會鞋最後個奶凍同啫哩 好食到我女朋友食埋我果份成個餐都係350蚊 真係非常抵食!!

同太太結婚紀念日,想有啲特別,所以經朋友介紹這一間西餐廳,最初我都有啲介意,因為朋友說要行五層樓,但多方面推薦下,我和太太就去試吓......一早就通知餐廳訂位,我同個員工講我慶祝結婚紀念,佢就同我講可以set個special menu俾我,仲問我好多menu啲野........食物方面,有煎鵝肝,法國羊扒,意大利什菌湯,煎焗雪魚柳,不過有個比較特別,香草白酒大蜆(真係好大隻,佢話係法國大蜆)......總括來說,食物好食,個員工(我估佢係經理)既服務態度都好,價錢方面都可以($350)一個人,但我比較喜歡個甜品(佢話係師傅特別為我地整既),真係好靚......這個地方真係值得一試,我好多謝佢地,尤其個大廚會出來同客人傾野,好nice,都好得意....我同我太太好開心,今次我冇影相(啲食物),但下次我一定會影,因為我會再去多次........^^:
