To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. The traditional Turnip Pudding (HK$268) showcases a rich flavor profile with premium dried scallops, shrimp, and shredded turnip, delivering a harmonious blend of savory and sweet notes, while the Chinese New Year Pudding (HK$248) features a blend of fresh coconut milk and sweet red dates, offering a delectable fragrance of coconut with a soft and chewy texture, symbolizing auspicious beginnings for the new year.

Stepping into the winter season, One Michelin-starred restaurant, Yat Tung Heen's Chef Tam, is delighted to present his Seasonal Crab Set Menu.

Crab lovers shouldn’t miss the 8-course seasonal crab set menu (HK$938* per person, minimum of 2 persons). Diners can begin with the Signature Appetizer Combination, featuring a trio of the chef’s most craveable appetizers: Deep-fried Crispy Net Spring Roll with Crab Meat, Honey-glazed Barbecued Pork, and Chilled Tomatoes Marinated with Preserved Plum Juice.

Our seasonal crab set menu includes dishes that highlight the flavor and essence of crab. Chef Tam skillfully combines seasonal crabs with the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients to showcase the must-try local winter food. The menu continues with Yat Tung Heen popular signature seafood dishes, including Stuffed Hairy Gourd Ring with Dried Scallop and Pan-fried Fresh Crab Claw, Braised Pumpkin Soup with Bird's Nest and Crab Meat, Steamed Mud Crab with Chinese Yellow Wine and Chicken Oil*, and Roasted Suckling Pig Stuffed with Fresh Crab Meat and Glutinous Rice. To celebrate this achievement, Yat Tung Heen is delighted to present a limited-edition Michelin Degustation Menu. Chef Tam has meticulously crafted an exquisite eight-course menu (HK$928 per person, minimum 2 persons), offering guests a delightful selection of traditional Chinese cuisine.

The luxurious feast begins with the Signature Appetizer Trio, consisting of the restaurant’s renowned tender Signature Honey-glazed Barbecued Pork, Chilled Tomatoes marinated with preserved plum juice for a sweet and sour flavor, and Marinated Scallop with Garlic Sauce.

The culinary journey continues with exceptional dishes like Sauteed Prawn and Fried Oyster with Seven Spices, a textural delight, nourishing Double-boiled Snow Lotus Soup with Fish Maw and Sea Whelk, Steamed Garoupa Fillet with Shredded Yunnan Ham, and Fried Rice with Diced Goose, Chicken, Mushroom and Conpoy, wrapped in an aromatic lotus leaf.
