To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. Yat Tung Heen, acclaimed authentic Cantonese restaurant at Eaton HK, has been awarded one Michelin star for the eighth consecutive year by the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macau 2024. This accolade once again recognizes Yat Tung Heen’s acclaimed status among Cantonese restaurants in Hong Kong.

To celebrate this achievement, Yat Tung Heen is delighted to present a limited-edition Michelin Degustation Menu. Chef Tam has meticulously crafted an exquisite eight-course menu (HK$928 per person, minimum 2 persons), offering guests a delightful selection of traditional Chinese cuisine.

The luxurious feast begins with the Signature Appetizer Trio, consisting of the restaurant’s renowned tender Signature Honey-glazed Barbecued Pork, Chilled Tomatoes marinated with preserved plum juice for a sweet and sour flavor, and Marinated Scallop with Garlic Sauce.

The culinary journey continues with exceptional dishes like Sauteed Prawn and Fried Oyster with Seven Spices, a textural delight, nourishing Double-boiled Snow Lotus Soup with Fish Maw and Sea Whelk, Steamed Garoupa Fillet with Shredded Yunnan Ham, and Fried Rice with Diced Goose, Chicken, Mushroom and Conpoy, wrapped in an aromatic lotus leaf.

The celebratory menu showcases a selection of premium ingredients, with highlights including Braised Abalone (10 Heads) and Fried Sea Cucumber in Abalone Sauce, featuring as the stars of the show.

To perfectly wrap up the luxurious feast, dessert comes in the form of Baked Puff Pastry with Egg Yolk and Osmanthus Puddingand Double-boiled Papaya and Coconut Milk with Black Sesame Dumpling.
