【西貢區】【FRITES】At the beginning, I want to express my gratitude to my friend who arrange this perfect lunch to me. I really enjoy the time of us that is also in my ‘Birthday Meal Tour’. My English is not good to show all my feelings.We ordered the ‘Express Lunch’, the ‘Mussels & tomato soup’ with basil and cream and the ‘Eggplant salad’ with goats cheese, roasted onions and mixed leaves arrives immediately, quite good.The main course is ‘Steak & Frites’. We ordered the ‘Express Lunch’, the ‘Mussels & tomato soup’ with basil and cream and the ‘Eggplant salad’ with goats cheese, roasted onions and mixed leaves arrives immediately, quite good.
The main course is ‘Steak & Frites’. This is a 220g grilled USDA 1855 Black Angus striploin with frites, salad and bernaise butter. We ordered in medium rare but it's a bit overcooked. $265 is a fair price we think, not expensive.
Then the ‘Carbonara’ comes, this one is also not bad when we just taste it. However, it becomes a bit salty after we had more of it. The price of this is $138, not expensive in this place. This is not a maid cafe.
We ordered one more main course, ‘Lamb Cutlets’. This one is the Silverfern New Zealand lamb chops with cucumber yoghurt, red onion, tomato, potato and chimichurri, the Argentine sauce.
The price of lamb is $315, not a cheap one but we thought it's quite delicious so it worth the price. For the drink, my friend had ‘Tropical mojito’ which made by rum, passionfruit, lemon, fresh mint and sugar. She said it's not bad.
The one I drunk called ‘Mongozo Coconut’, glass bottle with 330ML ALC 2.5% VOL. The waiter is a bartender I think, he served this drink in a funny style. It makes me delighted and felt like being in an excited journey.
As it is the time of Happy Hour, we can have a half-priced discount. Therefore the price of my drink becomes $60 and my friend's become $50. After that, the lunch set dessert was served in birthday style, wow!
I can't hide my joy and happiness at that time. The waiter and waitress sang the birthday song to me, great moment in my life. Thank you for everything to everyone involved. Last but not least, $907.5 in total, everything...
