To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

我最近在灣仔海悅酒店的Steak House扒房度過了一個非常不愉快的生日晚餐。首先,我們到達時發現窗邊的桌子明明沒有人預訂,但服務員堅持說已經被預訂了,並安排我們坐在餐廳中央。即使我們要求調換位置,直到九點那張桌子都沒有人坐。其次,我點的牛扒質量極差,完全不像應該有的水準,我的妻子甚至沒吃。更搞笑的是,我吃完牛扒後,服務員才問我要不要芥末。最後,我們點了甜品,但服務員把我和我妻子的甜品搞錯了,還誤以為是我妻子的生日,結果恭喜錯了人。整個服務差到極點,完全不像四五星級酒店的水準。投訴後,他們只說會改善,並送了一盒巧克力了事。這次晚餐每人花了約$1300,完全不值,食物難吃,服務差,不建議再去。
