To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 某日有事回港大,當然要順道拜訪一下一念素食啦。我此老鬼不知百周年校園的「架步」,幸得地膽友達彭彭聲作指路明燈,總算找到了。 明明地址寫逸夫教學樓,但由於校園有工程進行中,所以是先要去到鄭裕彤樓(即法律系)那邊兜個大圈過去。全店採取 upcycling (升級再造)概念,佈置成學校飯堂,沒錯像課室的椅子都是回收自一家舊學校再精心翻新-椅子後的語錄真教人會心微笑,而燈飾則由舊膠樽和羽毛球的羽毛由中學生製作而成,估不到吧! 店內使用的木材是經可持續認證的,也多採用可快速生長的竹子來造地板和牆身,提倡可持續發展的理念。這裡採自助餐形式,餸菜按重量收費($15/100克)。最低消費 $20。(一念素食其中一位創辦人正是開設本港首家「磅食」素食餐廳的。)這種自助餐餐廳稱之為「覺醒自助餐」,原意是要大家珍惜和尊重食物,餐廳開張初期由於好些顧客不懂預計取吃的份量,眼闊肚窄,結果多取了,既要多花錢吃不完又浪費。後來餐廳從善如流,把一個樣辦套餐展示出來 (250 克就是 $37),食客便更有預算了。自助餐桌上有十來款菜色供選擇,每天(甚至一天裡每餐)都不同,例如圖中的咖哩蘿蔔薯仔、炒青菜、雞髀菇炒翠玉瓜等

整個套餐便是這個樣子,餸菜沒有坊間素食館子的油膩,味道也不算太濃重,偶爾有一兩道菜會加點素肉點綴一下,也不會太寡。想惹味一點的,常設的鹵水豆乾(碟子的左下角)入味有嚼頭,是受歡迎的項目。

是日湯水是芥菜湯,喝得出沒下味精,但我還是喜歡喝茶多一點。

夜晚還有糖水(不是送,不過也只售$10),這是南瓜西米露,香濃味美。

平時也不時有甜品如桂花糕等出售,飲品除了茶之外,還有咖啡、果汁和自家製的果釀飲品等,也算是包羅萬有。

[咳唔咳唔,查實本人數月前已經來過一次,但仍是認不得路,並且那時是喝虹吸咖啡的,即叫即製,蠻不錯。]

吃完記得自行收拾碗盤,做個負責任的公民啊!

雖然港大最近已加入「綠色星期一」的行列,全校所有食肆在星期一都會有素食選擇,但星期一至星期六都供應全素食的話,就此一念素食一家(星期日休息),縱然地點有點吊腳,仍支持者眾,看來一念素食真的在港大播下綠色飲食的種子了。(Bijas 的意思正是種子)
Other Info. : 餐廳內附設「公平棧」和「好好社企」的銷售專櫃,大家可以順道買點公平貿易或由本地社企生產的產品回家去,很有意義。 另設私房菜套餐,不過要兩日前預訂。
