To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 九龍灣的牛角沒想到如此熱鬧，是日晚上是德福最多人排隊的餐廳之一。我們苦苦等待了40分鐘后終於入座，叫了兩個套餐。菜式很快上桌，首先是柚子沙律，酸甜的柚子配上沙律，非常清新開胃。然後我們試了牛肉、牛舌、豬扒、蝦以及蠔。當中覺得最好吃的是牛舌，薄切的牛舌在爐上放上20秒，兩邊變色立即拿起。佐以牛角的燒肉醬，味道令人滿意。其次就是蝦，蝦的分量頗大，故需時方能烤熟。待蝦全身通紅兩邊帶一點焦的時候食用，發現牛角的蝦也算新鮮，肉質結實。
