To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 開完會lunch time喺金鐘,成個pacific place 塞爆人,於是去間唔洗等位嘅餐廳。再一次證明,lunch time 或繁忙時間都大把位嘅餐廳,一係非常之貴,一係就會係唔好食嘅餐廳。上去open rice食評睇睇,都見到其他人嘅評語有講到上菜慢,人手唔夠。我嚟金鐘呢間諗住情況會好啲啲,但都係一樣,上菜真係超慢,個北京填鴨等咗成45分鐘有多都未嚟,催促三次到最後差啲想取消佢先上菜。拼盤,味道唔太差。砵砵雞係類似口水雞嘅麻煩雞,但超油膩上湯小豆苗最後先上嘅北京填鴨,都算正常質素兩個人共$1,026.30,每人$500度。菜介成$85蚊,但食物水準係同一般酒樓咁上下。
