To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 朋友邀請我去上水食飯慶祝生日,約定在新開幕的潮江春等。餐廳裝修都唔太差都幾華麗、樓底都幾高。朋友想食鹵水豆腐,所以點了一份,可惜鹵水未夠老身所以唔香、幸好豆腐夠滑。鮑魚雞球煲、賣相比起餐牌相有好大分別,幸好鮑魚好有咬口又有魚味,雞肉是新鮮雞所以雞味濃郁,配以蒜子及香葱入饌、味道好好。潮州烏㰖蒸寶石魚、寶石魚肉質肥美、是本地養殖魚之一,含有豐富奧米加脂肪酸、配以烏欖碎、豉油及豆腐、烏㰖有小小酸澀味混和豉油及豆腐一起食用、加重了魚味!青㰖螺頭燉豬𦟌湯,湯清淡冇油,帶有小小豬肉及螺頭鮮味、但自己飲唔到青㰖味道!食了一粒靑欖、味道偏鹹都幾好味。臘味煲仔飯,飯煲得好好味、夠乾身又香口!臘腸、膶腸、臘鴨、臘肉一點也不肥膩又唔鹹。足足食了兩大碗飯才擺休!雖然今晚沒有完全點了很多潮州餸、但沒有想過在上水的潮江春都可以煮出美味的廣東味道!今晚十分滿足!唯獨是有一兩個服務員服務態度差、影響了整體氣氛!
