To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 平時間中去陶源飲茶,喜歡點心有創意又好吃。今天因為時間問題,試左下午茶時段,覺得非常超值,想推介一下。下午茶時段由下午二時開始至三時三十分,不單只是平日才有,更是星期一至星期日。如果周末瞓晚啲,來個brunch正好。今天本來想點“精點薈萃”,但只有兩位亦食得不多,留下次再試。“精點薈萃”有七款點心,包括:棗王糕、菜苗餃、天鵝酥、鮑魚燒賣、小梨子鹹水角、金箔蝦餃,及朱古力奶皇包,每款有兩件。這些點心當中,有些是陶源得獎、獨渾之作。現時這款“精點薈萃”大賣半價,原價268元,只需138元。如果想食飯麵,有多款選擇,只是58 元至68元,反而點心相對選擇不多,尤其是蒸點,而“精點薈萃”內的點心並沒有單點選擇。今天點了四款點心,有京式菜肉包、香茜牛肉腸、懷舊鷄絲春卷,及手拍青瓜海蜇。菜肉包不是一般酒樓有提供,肉質嫩滑,菜和肉的比例洽到好處;春卷熱騰騰,非常脆口。四款點心連茶位費用、加一服務費,一共120元,非常抵食。
