To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

小弟上次到東昇樓開餐已距今兩年前了,如今再到此光顧,試試水準能否保持。此店為舊碼頭一帶最著名的食肆,店面有如一般上了鋪的大牌檔;白光管,膠地板,裝潢欠奉,一張張大圓桌則放在店中。今次我們一行十三人,包了整個閣樓。經濟不景,加上大家對海鮮也沒特別執著,所以我們今趟主打一般晚飯小菜。馳名燒鵝:全店只剩下半隻,當然機不可失。燒鵝能保持一貫皮脆肉嫩,汁料也香濃,很好。 白切雞:半隻切雞點來與燒鵝湊成一隻。切雞頗具雞味,肥美卻不太膩,也好。 椒鹽鮮魷:只用上小量粉漿來炸,非常香口,加上椒鹽香味,正! 蘭花牛肉:鑊氣很好,牛肉炒得夠嫩滑,西蘭花軟硬適中,不錯。 香煎肉餅:改良版家常小菜,以香煎形式處理豬肉餅,外面煎得香脆,口感很好。 豉油蒸茄子:用上銀魚仔、蝦乾和土魷來蒸茄子,加添鮮味。 梅菜蒸勝瓜:勝瓜清淡,但卻滲滿梅菜香味,用作送飯一流。 咖哩牛腩煲:咖哩加入椰汁,味道香濃,牛腩也夠嫩,但相對其他菜色,此道顯得較為一般。脆炸中蝦:中蝦炸得非常香脆,沾滿椒鹽的蝦殼也脆得能吃掉,佐酒佳品。 烤豬展骨:豬展骨烤得香口,配上微辣黑椒汁,美味。 總括而言,食物質素保持水準,但可能我們這餐點得太多菜,加上
