To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 上星期五和家人到樓下商場的太興吃晚餐,之所以會選擇太興是因為環境比較闊落,舒適,而且一至五有套餐優惠,單點小菜包含白飯和一杯熱飲,凍飲則加3元。我們三人叫了三個小菜,分別是:豉汁涼瓜炒牛肉,北菇豆腐青衣魚柳煲和中式京都洋蔥豬扒。分量方面也算多,不過三款小菜也比較油膩。我個人比較愛吃涼瓜,所以選了豉汁涼瓜炒牛肉,這個小菜涼瓜比較多,牛肉則比較少,但牛肉肉質較嫩,有口感,不錯,但就真的是油膩了一些。北菇豆腐青衣魚柳煲方面,豆腐太大塊導致味道進不了去,也影響了口感,而魚柳方面肉質雖不是十分嫩滑,但仍帶有魚香,算是合格。最後中式京都洋蔥豬扒方面,醬汁太甜,完全蓋過了豬扒的肉味,而且豬扒切得大小不一,某些太大塊並不便於同人分享,貌相也因而扣了些小分數。飲品方面則比一般茶餐廳要好,我叫了一杯熱柑桔蜜,所落的柑桔蜜夠多,不會太淡,甜度剛好。
