久聞大名的大圍小館﹐在網上看過不少食評﹐適逢家母生日約齊家人一齊去試試﹐於十日前訂座了晚飯20:15。當晚8點去到餐廳﹐已有大批人在等候﹐入座前會先安排枱號時間一到就全部人一齊入座﹐流程暢順。餐前小食有一碟話梅醃苦瓜﹐味道像酸菜完全無苦味。另外普洱茶也不錯。功夫八實鴨: 鴨身去骨填入黑糯米,牛肝菌,乾瑤柱,腩肉,栗子,蓮子, 鮮筍,蝦米及咸旦王,好味又飽肚,醬汁沾菜非常好食。脆皮黑鬃鵝(半隻): 皮脆肉嫩還不算貴,推薦。花旗蔘烏雞湯: 是日老火湯,甘甘地幾好飲,湯渣會分開上。茶薰雞 & 豉油雞: 雞有雞味,十分嫩滑,據說是用新鮮農場雞,豉油雞味道清甜比較好吃,茶薰雞煙薰味太重個人不太喜歡。第一叉: 鎮店菜式,肉味蜜味焦香味俱全,肉質非常軟淋。如意欖蒸肉餅: 混入了類似涼果甘草欖的甜味肉餅,不是人人能接受。椒鹽鮮魷 & 馬拉盞蝦乾肉末生啫芥蘭煲 & 惹味海蝦干小炒王: 正常小菜,沒太特別。冰花蛋球 ( 沙翁 ): 很大一個沙翁,蛋香味濃。冰糖雪耳桃膠糖水: 奉送的糖水,清甜多料。整體味道不錯,但要懂得選菜式,應多選擇特色的菜式,質素算是對得起價錢。

部份菜色需要在一至五日前預訂並先付訂金﹐但在網上訂座時沒有提供預訂方法﹐餐廳電話又長期無人聽﹐最後在社交平台 私訊餐廳才拿到一個whatapps電話號碼﹐相當迂迴。
