To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 難得晚飯不用等位，又有信用卡折扣，便點了特選牛的餐，價錢合理。很幸運，因為細枱冇晒，職員安排了很大的圓枱給我和老公，所以是一個大鍋兩人一起吃，我們點了蕃茄湯和豬骨湯。有些職員很殷勤友善，聽到我想去廁所就主動告訴我們位置，加湯都很主動，加肉和埋單都很快。我們的餐有牛、豬肩肉和雞。我們只加了一次牛，已經很夠。牛豬都很薄，很快熟，味道幾好，就算不點醬汁也可以，牛也不多筋，有牛味。蔬菜和配菜選擇也足夠，我們吃了很多生菜，日本烏冬也不錯。甜品也很多和很好吃，一件很小剛剛好。
