To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 大概方便外籍客人點菜, 套餐單分AA、A、 B等等, 其實每款都有相應的中文名稱, 今次闔家九大兩細點的是「山青水秀豔陽春」(HK$3,880), 包括-四小碟前菜:海蜇、醉雞、燻茶素鵝與醬前蹄 > 全部冷盤好食, 本人一直最愛素鵝, 有淡淡煙燻味, 入口清甜;宮爆明蝦球 > 大大隻蝦啖啖肉, 味道微辣, 必須熱食, 否則涼後脆漿外層變軟;鮮蟹肉燴翅 > 未能吃出蟹肉味, 但不似喜宴中過多芡作羹;北京填鴨 > 好味始終如一, 配京蔥、青瓜絲、甜麵醬以薄餅夾住一齊食, 薄餅份量已比往昔闊綽;槽溜魚片 > 以往套餐多次嚐的是松子桂花魚, 想不到此道菜也可口, 酒味恰當, 魚塊嫩滑;蒸四合蔬 > 素菜一道;三鮮乾燘麵 > 拉麵加雞絲加蝦仁, 醬油下得多, 很惹味但不算肥膩;灌湯小籠包 > 隻隻飽滿, 皮極薄、汁勁多... 唯小籠包並非京菜;高力蛋白豆沙香蕉 > 以往套餐多次嚐的是生果拼盤, 此道甜品始終舖注白砂糖, 感覺不健康。八時半開始有大廚在場內不同地方表演拉麵技藝, 較讓外國人注目。侍應服務勤快、體貼。
