是晩約了友人聚餐,選址是甚少到訪的九龍城。說實話,九龍城其實有點不就腳,幸而駕車而達還算方便,餐廳門外及附近亦設有大量錶位。到訪的餐廳名為牛精皇,招牌上掛上一只立體牛頭飾品,甚有氣勢。店內地方不算很大,約放有九至十張餐桌,舒適度普通喇,整潔度則算不錯。餐廳名為牛精皇,牛肉生料固然是招牌菜之一。另外,從櫥窗魚缸看來,象拔蚌應是另一名物。為了删卻麻煩,大家同意先點一份精選二人餐「打底」,再追加其他美食。套餐包普通湯底一個,如點選特色湯底可考慮補回差價。今趟選了一個平實的蕃茄薯仔湯底,頭湯酸感較強,及後經過多次添加(上)湯及煮過火鍋生料後,湯汁甜度增強了不少,味道更見平衡。精選二人餐內含多款生料,擺盤以 High Tea 層架盛載,既美觀,亦省卻不少放置食材的位置。最上層放有多款丸物,手打蝦丸及墨魚丸用料認真無欺場,口感彈牙,蝦香墨魚味皆出眾可口。黑椒牛根丸及手打鯪魚丸質感略實身,食味一般。及後追加一份招牌手打蝦丸及芝士墨魚丸雙拼,芝士墨魚丸的芝士含量不算多,給力不突出。中層放有兩款海鮮食材及雲吞水餃,海鮮分別是聖子及青囗各兩只。聖子體型中等,用料都算新鮮,清甜帶爽,只是吃到少量沙粒,有點美
