To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 至離開小西灣後,一直很少光顧美心喝早茶。今天又有機會來了,真是有久別重逢的感覺。美心皇宮似乎有點今非昔比,排隊的人少了,想當年要排百多張檯。。。今天等了不出半小時就被安排入座,在樓上的大堂。樓上大堂,一直都不是茶客理想之地,因為不方便。但坐在窗邊的位置又可令作別論,哈!先來一籠豉椒鳳爪,哎呀!第一味就賣相不佳了,汁太濃太多又太稠。鳳爪更是「連體嬰」,汁把爪漿住了。用柚皮墊底,不太喜歡。香芋糯米卷,天氣凍凍,總想吃糯米。美心的糯米卷是我吃過最好吃的,可能是我見識少吧!用香芋包住糯米,我覺得很新鮮,比起用麵粉弄的皮,香芋皮實在好吃多了!香芋的香味浸入了糯米,糯米又有臘味、蝦米作伴,米不硬,口感與味道都是頂呱呱!香煎腐皮卷,唉!中點作價,但比其他酒樓的遜色。腐皮卷煎得過火,燶了!不知是否長途跋涉拿過來,皮已經軟了,一點也不脆,腐皮卷的賣點沒有了!卷不是漲卜卜。。內裡的料有豬肉、菇絲等等。不好吃呢!都是腐皮之過。埋單差不多要80元,在同區的酒樓來說,可算是貴了!同區的酒樓多了,美心也應好好管理一下食物的水準呢,快要被其他人比下去了!
