To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

夜晚放工,滿心歡喜食晚餐。原本已經好肚餓,點知等左半個鐘先上餐。我隔離嗰三枱都係咁!等緊嗰半個鐘,我周圍望啲店員做緊乜:1. 掛住吹水,明明好多客都等緊,佢地仲係嘻嘻哈哈慢吞吞2. 有餐車唔用,逐碗逐碗由店頭拎到店尾,仲要慢慢行,每枱到等左勁耐3. 客人舉手提示仲有野未上,店員依然慢慢黎,但已經等左半個鐘有多唔知係策略定真心唔識做野,個個客都等至少半個鐘先有野食,唔餓都變餓。但我今晚真係餓到暈暈地,如果佢再遲十分鐘,我真係會暈倒訓喺地下。
