Newly relocated 一番 Ichiban, but after a few months still barely getting a review... seems like its losing its lustre?.Large bottle of Kirin Ichiban Shibori, imported from Japan -One of my favourite and balanced all-rounder beers. .Appetiser of Vermicelli -The 春雨 were like.. ok. What did I expected anyway? .Hand Made Hakata Tofu - 手造り博多ざる豆腐I had half expected this to be decent, and it was. The tofu had a little tofu taste, but probably a little too dense compared to the best from 京都Kyo

I had half expected this to be decent, and it was. The tofu had a little tofu taste, but probably a little too dense compared to the best from 京都Kyoto. I knew how this was meant to be eaten but there was no explanation by the staff whatsoever, that you're suppose to add some soy sauce on top of the spring onion and ginger pile before consuming. ~ 7/10

This used to be 一番 Ichiban's signature dishes and having been there so many times in its old location, this new one seemed way less aromatic in the grilling method, but most of all remained very chewily tough. It also doesn't have much seasoning on it nowadays. Utter disappointment. ~ 3/10

A bit disappointed with everything starting from the appetiser to the grilled Beef Tongue. The Japanese Hakata made tofu wasn't bad, but hardly worth a visit on its own.
