To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日試咗一間新式茶餐廳。位置:係謝斐道,灣仔地鐵站一出一轉就到。揸車黎可能更麻煩,事關條街車位唔多。雖然無大招牌豎出街,但搵都無咩難度門面:呢個好值得讚! 大部分茶餐廳的衛生情況惡劣,食食下飯都有可能見到小強同老鼠,真係食龍肉都冇味。可能係後生仔打理餐廳原故,呢間野好企理,門面光鲜,係出面望入廚房都唔會見到個地下濕漉漉。而且冷氣夠,餐牌唔會sticky,餐具也唔會油油的。食物選擇:以茶餐廳的常用菜色為主,再加自身餐廳的創作。例如有三文治四重奏:用四種不同餡料加上烘底麥包,比普通公司三文治更加野味和包肚。比較多客人叫嘅係蕃茄湯通粉加午餐肉粒(應該用塊嚟形容,其大小有3x3x3cm)而且香煎到金黃色,蕃茄湯相信係用蕃膏rather than罐頭湯煮成,食得滿足。特色茶餐廳飲品如龍鳳檸樂,檸樂煲薑,雪糕紅豆冰都有serve,呢間小小茶餐廳令人喜出望外。
