To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

多年前吃過一次中伏,叫了一碟燒肉飯,是完全沒有燒肉皮的尾位,我向老闆娘說:我是聽到人說這店最出名的是燒肉,專程搭車來吃的,是不是因為我是生客就給我這樣的燒肉飯?投訴後,她立即斬了一碗淨燒腩給我。經此事後我已多年沒再光顧第二次,但昨晚經過剛巧又肚子很餓,所以決定給他第二次機會。怎料叫來的叉燒燒肉飯,叉燒是全瘦的,量是夠但是一點肉味都沒有,燒肉有5小塊,一塊是極小,一塊有一半是骨,其餘全部是尾位,能吃到脆皮的面積不到5平方厘米,燒肉味淡完全欠燒烤味連腌料味也沒有。飯是熱的但下水太多,基本不合格。叫了碟蔥油,一吃下去真的大鑊,鹹到恐怖級別,一小啖應可送半碗飯的鹹度!55大元,真的不要去吃! 比他便宜十元質素好得多的燒臘飯店一街都是!
