《金記冰室》今年推出了兩款自家製的傳統口味月餅– 低糖雙黃白蓮蓉月餅和金腿五仁月餅,小妹獲贈一盒雙黃白蓮蓉。月餅的設計,明顯走復古懷舊路線,採用硬皮紙盒,上畫有嫦娥賞月吃月餅的圖案,頗有那些年的味道﹗金記標榜自己製作的月餅「選用一級湘蓮,配以精選足油鹹蛋黃」,真的嗎?切開一看,嘩,鹹蛋黃果然漏油,油份即時溢出,鹹香油潤,小妹最愛。月餅餅皮香脆之餘,又帶點焦香。白蓮蓉以以低糖慢火烹調,入口質感幼滑細膩且清甜不膩,再加上甜度適中,食味不賴。只是,所謂的「一級」或「頂級」湘蓮,都不復當年勇。蓮蓉,這些年,好像遜色了不少。
