To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今晚跟女友二人慶祝 情人節,共點咗 四樣嘢, 包括: 醬燒圓蹄, 拔絲蘋果/香蕉 (各半份), 北京填鴨 (半隻), 小籠包。先講食物品質: 基本上以上各種都好食 (圓蹄唔肥膩; 小籠包 有好多既肉汁, 唯獨皮可以再薄少少會更好...; 拔絲香蕉/蘋果, 糖衣很薄, 很脆; 填鴨肉唔算太乾, 但若再多汁一點會較好)茶方面, 水夠熱, 能沖出茶香及茶味。重點係 服務一流。(當時係 滿座的)就以沖茶加水為例, 侍應不時會 埋黎檢查 茶壼仲有沒茶。(佢唔係亂咁 掀開茶壼蓋黎睇, 而係 拿起茶壼黎 感覺裡面水的份量, 仲會用手背摸個 壼, 之後就再同你加水...好細心)(見你杯茶放耐咗都仲未飲, 佢又會同你斟熱的茶)食物一夾完最後一件, 已經有人埋黎即刻收咗隻碟 (仲識得把相關 的醬汁 一併收起, 唔會收錯其他的醬汁, 感覺很專業)本來 填鴨係唔可以 點半隻的, 但我地只有二人, 實在食唔落成隻咁多,後來個侍應 好敫勤咁 幫我地問其他客人, 最後搵到有人又係想 點半隻的,我覺得佢地真係 好專業, 同埋好用心去招待客人。若有機會, 一定會再去
