To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 忙碌完一整個上午,同事突然即慶想吃火鍋, 查OpenRice食肆即 彈出 牛涮鍋。 大家都同意,就去呢間啦。 去到門口,見到有個小小的信用卡10% off 優惠,就拎張飛等入座。 4個人(4人枱)等了約十分鐘,原來午市入面大把位,不過唔明點解佢哋俾個靠牆位我們,四人吃自助火鍋 只有單邊出入感覺很不夾,不過不是大問題,只是入座前冇提過,是坐下來就計時,不是點好東西有個鍋上枱先開始計。(係自己冇注意) 食物選擇多,好多素食者恩物,都算新鮮,不過 用店內的電子落order system, 要求加湯,等到差不多乾水冇人埋,最後 唯有自己去找湯壼自己加,加完一邊,再加另一邊先有店員發現主動幫手加湯。 最後,想講下 ,選擇食肆除了好食材、價位、 環境、服務,良心食肆也是重要的因素。(見題外話)

Other Info. : 題外話,同事請店長傾咗兩句,佢只是説公司有「加時制度」,意下 吃唔唗 客人只可以選擇加時(即加$$),但係如果枱面上仲有未食或未煮食物,在沒有其他客人輪候的非繁忙時段 都要趕客,不要可坐到吃完枱面上的食物。非常可惜,又不肯來個彈性處理,又未能解釋 客人枱上餘下的食物處理方法。而且,他完全沒有提過加入了「咪唗嘢食店」計劃的內容。 不過,佢地有提過 我地 時間 尚餘 30 分鐘⋯⋯ 吃得快的朋友可以 不用煩惱。
