To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 還記得早年,都已經有七八年前的事,在下第一次幫襯南記,是買了一盒春卷給在下女友,之後卻斷斷續續的,在這裡吃一碗麵,無論是午餐抑或晚飯,一碗麵已經足夠飽肚了。在下不記得春園街的南記是否有裝修過,最近幾次來的時候,卻變得光猛,顧客也是川流不息的。今天在下與女友一起再到南記,各自吃一碗窩米粉,是咱們的不二之選。每次到南記,在下與女友都會必定要這裡的名物春卷,是否來一碟淨春卷抑或放在湯麵裡,也許成為了咱們的一種默契--不用說出就會自動點出的。今天亦不例外,今天女友要了肥牛小窩米粉加春卷,在下要了菜肉雲吞米粉加春卷。在下沒有為女友的米粉拍照,卻如常的與女友互相分享了肥牛肉和菜肉雲吞。肥牛肉通常烚下烚下就非常好味,今次加在湯粉裡,卻另一滋味,半肥瘦牛肉適中,不靭也不嚡;菜肉雲吞皮也很煙靭,內裡的菜卻多於肉類,未免有點失衡。每次吃小窩米枌,總有酸菜和碎肉,也有芽菜和腐皮,然而今次吃到的酸菜,未及以往的那麼酸,也沒有這麼的濃味,而在下也喜歡不太酸的酸菜,辛辣度方面,在下要了小辣呢!咱們每次無論是否吃小窩米線,總會加上春卷,是不二之選,也許是咱們對於南記的的情有獨鐘之處。
