To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 同外地回港嘅親友聚會,對方提議食京菜,知道北京樓嘅食材及烹調一向都有水準,又見佢做緊個4人套餐幾抵食,所以就揀咗去呢度吃晚飯。另外,呢度待應服務也很好,訂枱時我查詢有關套餐,佢就主動用手機發送套餐餐單俾我,環保又方便。首先嚟嘅係叫世紀三小碟嘅冷盤:京城糖醋小排骨,酸甜度適中,糖醋汁滲透入排骨七里香莊酒糟醉雞,酒香撲鼻,雞肉嫩滑又夠入味杭州芳香煎腐方,香口好味時菜鮮魚羹,味道清新,無味精北京宮爆蝦球,蝦肉新鮮而彈口,甜甜辣辣十分惹味,果然係招牌菜家常蒸魚方,魚肉厚身又夠鮮味,配撘鋪面嘅木耳絲同肉絲口感更豐富瑤柱上湯小黃菜烤北京填鴨,鴨肉唔肥但都好香,表皮烤得脆卜卜食到停唔到口包填鴨肉的皮份量超多,難得食填鴨係唔需要追加皮,可惜皮做得較削身,有點失色無錫灌湯小籠包,肉汁都算多,不過不失
