To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 首先不得不提酸菜魚,在眾多菜式中格外出色。湯底酸中帶微辣,只覺舌尖微麻,怕辣的人也絕可以接受。魚肉新鮮嫩滑,容易入口,且湯底的味道沒有蓋過魚肉的鮮味。菇和萵筍的配搭恰到好處,吸收湯底的酸味,令人頓時胃口大開。鎮江餚肉乃上海菜必有的冷盤,這裡的鎮江餚肉肉凍晶瑩剔透,瘦肉色澤紅潤,賣相可謂一流,但味道不算特別出彩,豬肉香味不足,且口感普通,瘦肉和肉凍層次不夠鮮明,亦不夠煙韌,有待改善。初嚐砂鍋獅子頭,吃起來更像是紅燒獅子頭,豬肉和醬汁一鹹一甜,配搭合宜,肉味挺濃,對偏好清淡的人來說應該不太討喜,口感濕黏但不夠綿密,整體來說尚可。說到上海菜就想起小籠包,這裡的小籠包也不錯。個子小巧,可一口一個,湯汁雖稱不上濃,但尚算飽滿,豬肉餡肥瘦適中,吞下後口中仍留有豬肉餘津,美中不足的是麵皮略厚且粗糙,欠缺小籠包應有的精緻。杭州尖椒牛肉本應是辣的,但連我這個怕辣的人也覺得完全不辣。醬料的味道大大蓋過了牛肉和尖椒本身的味道,因此味道偏鹹,且太過油膩。牛肉纖維在烹調過程中被破壞,因此沒口感可言。上海炒飯已是經典菜色,但此老上海炒飯非彼炒飯。味道清淡而保留米香,實在難得,雞蛋的點綴令其生色不少,不至於乏味,米
