To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 下午被個網紅女的濃烈香水味攻到透不過氣來, 頭暈不適. 索性去附近食店享用除夕晚餐.這間食店裝修格局昏暗, 感覺上似濕漉漉, 霉霉地.而且, 入面的侍應顧客服務水平勁差. 當個個食客都沒有大聲交談時, 侍應卻互相交談喧嘩. 落單沒有一句多謝, 上菜擺低就走, 一點都不像餐廳的格局, 已經變成茶餐廳. 上菜唔夠位就直接隊食客食緊的碗筷, 上錯菜沒有道歉不特止, 上手食客攪過的餐, 也依舊送去下手食客台上食口水尾. 衛生情況可想而知.講返食物質素, 首先上的是湯, 然後就等好耐, 都無其他菜上. 湯就係粟米忌廉湯, 份量得一半, 結身, 好似食粟米粥咁.第2道菜係西蘭花, 但焗到出黑焦.第3道菜係炸雞...碎, 衰過食麥樂雞, 幾十蚊連肉都無, 最多就係用來炸的麵粉.第4道菜牛柳粒變牛筋粒.結論就係搵笨.
