To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

素食者要在香港很方便地吃壽司,說難不難,起碼各大連鎖壽司店也有數款選擇。比較大型如元氣的話,我來來去去都是吃那幾款,即是餐牌上有「素食」標示的:1. 青瓜卷($12):今次吃到的,切工不敢恭維,上面還沾了幾顆蟹子;飯也是乾乾的。2. 腐皮($12):就是甜腐皮壽司,到處都吃得到的水準,但飯沒有從腐皮包漏出來已收貨。3. 粟米軍艦($12):平常在壽司帶上比較少見,所以最好直接向店員點餐;因為也要快吃,否則紫菜會軟掉,所以還是別從壽司帶上拿了。4. 枝豆($16):以前的我是絕對不會碰這個的,直到有位很愛吃枝豆的前輩教我怎樣吃以後,我就愛上了!枝豆其實是黃豆(就是比較嫩,還沒從豆莢裡取出來的原條黃豆),在鹽水煮了後就成為傳統的日式下酒菜。當然不用要喝酒才吃的,因為它含豐富蛋白質和纖維,脂肪又比果仁等低,是健康的小吃。還有就是聊天時這個很好用,一顆接一顆很快就吃光一盤!現時元氣的素食選擇就只有這麼多了(那些蛋[玉子]壽司沒有標明是素,應該有可能是製作時會下木魚湯之類,不過我有時眼不見為淨就照吃不誤。)
