To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 朋友相聚請吃飯,邀請到荃灣廣場潮江春,貪其就近荃灣西鐵站附近,方便回元朗。每次來潮江春,都感覺好高貴,充滿氣派,坐得又非常舒適。潮州打冷食物,烹調得又非常出色,尤其是反沙芋條,潮州煎伊麵都只有它才有得吃。稻草鴨,肉質嫩滑。煎蠔烙,非常足料,啖啖都是蠔仔,香脆可口,好香蛋味。涼瓜排骨煲,好有苦瓜味道,感覺熬了很久,好下火。潮州煎伊麵,來潮江春必吃的,因只有它才有,甜甜酸酸,麵底脆脆,好滋味。反沙芋條,也是必吃的,記得第一次食時,因芋頭很熱的,燙親了舌頭,真的要吃得好慢先得。糖身包著軟綿綿的芋頭,感覺好甜美,愛吃嗜甜品的女仕都難以招架。也多點了椰汁百合豆爽,估不到如此好吃的,因淡淡椰汁香,拌百合綠豆,超爽口又清新。今次吃了如此多美食,實太滿足了。
