To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

最近經常到重慶大廈食正宗印度菜,今次試了另一間主打印度素菜的餐廳。知道印度是全世界素食人口排名第一的國家,印度有兩三成人口都是素食者,所以素食在印度非常流行,款式更千變萬化,絕不單調。今次去到娑羅婆納印度素餐廳,娑羅婆納是印度智慧之神,餐廳內裡裝修簡樸懷舊,富特色,全店免收加一,價錢都幾合理。大部份食物都提供了三款醬汁,椰子醬、扁豆汁和洋蔥番茄辣醬。芝士煎餅Cheese Sada Dosa $60Dosa 是將米漿倒入平面的鍋子上,再用一根T字型的工具,將米漿快速的畫圓、攤成薄薄的一圈,等米漿逐漸變成棕色時,將整個餅剷起成三角形。今次加上了印度芝士,含鹽非常低,入口温和,提升了口感。番茄鬆餅 Tomato Uttapam$65Uttapam 乍看之下有點像 Pizza,但它既不是麵粉皮也不是用烘烤製成,而是用稍微有點厚度的濃米漿,放在平板上煎成的,上面還會鋪些香料和番茄碎,口感似美式鬆餅。印度麥餅 Chaptai $12印度麵粉中加入水和鹽,然後搓成團狀,接着用擀麵棍推壓碾平成圓形,沒發酵的烤餅,餅皮厚度較薄,口感較為紮實,帶著天然純粹的麥香。芝士波菜蓉Palak Panner $70
