To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 日期:零七年四月二十八日(星期六)時間:晚上七時與友人去了屯門,才知道大會堂旁邊的酒家已經變了做美心皇宮。晚市時分,似乎顧客也頗多,我們一行兩個人卻很快就有桌子了,原來他們給了我們一張八人桌,真是皇宮般的享受呢!裝潢的確很有氣勢,看看菜色又如何?我們叫了醉雞做頭盤,再來半隻燒鵝和一個菠蘿炒飯。有趣的是,菠蘿炒飯竟然比頭盤和燒鵝還要早上菜!不過在我們和部長說過之後,醉雞和燒鵝也立即上菜了,部長也很有禮貌的道歉。醉雞的味道還不錯,酒味不算太濃,剛剛好;雞本身也算新鮮。至於燒鵝,味道也很好,當然心理上總覺得有點比不上深井的老店,但其實已經很不錯了!只是這兩個菜真的比較細碟:醉雞作為頭盤,細碟也無可厚非,不過相對來說價錢就有點誇張了!燒鵝也比預期之中細,不一會就吃完了似的。不得不提的是那個原隻菠蘿炒飯,味道很好,飯本身炒得不錯,加上菠蘿的味道,很開胃!價錢也算是合理吧!畢竟這裡是皇宮呢!最後值得一讚的,是皇宮的環境。裝潢當然是豪華吧,但洗手間也是十分清潔的。沒有只專注於「皇宮」本身而忽略了洗手間的環境,絕對令食客在離開之前再加分!
