由黃竹坑,趴走至鴨脷洲,再入薄扶林數碼港,渾身是汗,且有點倦了!於戲院前下小巴,發現一間仍貼著紅紙的「金記客棧」。大門近廚房處,掛著一隻隻的燒鵝、油雞、乳豬和叉燒等,煞是誘人,教人莫不垂涎三尺!坐下後,始知道這是傳統老店「金記冰室」的升級版 ,裝潢設計繞富中國風,古香古色,並以避風塘海鮮為主題,除了供應冰室熱賣的茶餐,最提供避風塘海鮮和小炒。天氣雖熱,為健康著想,還是來一杯滋潤的檸檬菜蜜 $17好了!友人,要來了一杯紅豆冰$22,據說豆味香濃,紅豆軟腍。我們並不太肚餓,只想嘆冷氣兼吹水而矣!椒鹽鮮魷$88這一道小吃,集香脆惹味鮮美於一口,豈能不試呢?鮮魷魚沾上薄漿同炸,且混入濃香椒鹽,確是香脆惹味萬分,只略嫌魷魚質感有點兒過韌了!接著,當然是一嚐明爐燒鵝$108/例牌了。燒鵝以搪瓷容器盛載,並以蠟燭助熱。甚有光澤,油光閃閃,肉汁豐盈。咬下燒鵝啖啖肉,鵝油甘香而不膩,皮薄且帶微脆,鵝肉十分嫩滑,滿嘴油香。只是,吃過最好的燒鵝,金記之作,總覺略有所差,少了一份蝕骨銷魂的懾人味道。秘製蜜桃咕嚕肉$78混入洋蔥、青椒、蜜桃和菠蘿同炒,咕嚕肉夠香腍且入味。倘若醬汁更香更甜更酸,相信會更為好吃!最
