To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 雖然天氣炎熱,但亦無阻一眾火鍋控「十下十下」。「牛涮鍋」在港有多間分店,是午造訪的分店位於新世紀廣場內。正值午膳時間,餐廳也推出一些優惠火鍋半自助餐,視乎選定的主食肉類及用餐時間,可以低至八九十元便可吃得飽飽。紅白兩色的鴛鴦湯底,説實話難與港式火鍋湯底比較,簡簡單單就好了。紅白相碰,以蕃茄湯食味稍勝一籌,或許純粹因小編喜愛吃蕃茄吧!主食肉類豬牛雞三選一,既然來到「牛」涮鍋,當然以牛為首選。每人一碟的牛肉片,肉色紅潤,雖然沒有誘人的雪花紋理,但也有合適的脂肪比例。牛肉片薄,只需輕輕一涮已熟度剛好,牛味對辦,口感軟嫩。至於「自助餐」部分,可先到沙律櫃享用菜蔬沙律。中華沙律、蛋粒及藜麥是比較特別或富和式風味的配料。移步至火鍋生料區,選料主要以瓜菜菇菌及丸類為主,各式瓜菜菇菌不論外觀及味道都算不錯。丸類雜項相對特別,較吸引的有味道略似帶子的仿干貝燒;黑中含白,內𥚃混入彈牙墨魚碎粒的墨魚汁丸;以及一口爆漿的流心芝士丸等等。 在凍櫃中,能望見烏冬麵食。但既然有熱辣牛肉飯同場出現,當然會選後者。 甜品櫃有一系列迷你糕點,賣相小巧,味道普通喇!小編相對欣賞朱古力林明頓蛋糕及泡芙。軟雪糕亦屬亮點之一,
