To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 用food panda多，開始懂得精打細算的竅門:原來每間餐廳的送貨費是不同的，大部分也是20元，有些15元，但當中竟然只有5元的。始創的「牛涮鍋」是其中一間。食物選擇也很豐富，我選了牛肉咖喱飯、鰻魚飯、日式义燒飯，咖啡飯少汁，其餘兩個都走汁。價錢相宜，味道好，只嫌沒有完全走汁及少汁，明白咖哩未必能完全走汁，但义燒飯竟然發現有千島醬。飲品方面，雖然沒有奶茶咖啡，但有「健康工房」的茅根竹蔗汁及「道地」纖解茶，有點心思，不是只有無益的有糖可樂。包裝方面，用了紙盒，亦有走餐具，值得一讚。
