To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 七點左右又到食飯時間!見到元氣,翡翠拉麵小籠包,別府 咁多人等位 於是去太興。點知出事!!入到係,我話要香煎鹹魚茸肉餅,侍應:無。                要砵酒焗廣島蠔,侍應:蠔太細隻,無入貨。我心諗要呢樣無個樣,點做生意嫁! 最尾叫咗3個餸。鹹魚雞粒豆腐煲: 個煲完全係微暖,同侍應反映,佢地整熱再拎番出泥。一打開蓋,完全無鹹魚香味! 豆腐好似肉丸咁大粒! 外面茶餐廳都未見過咁樣,豆腐白哂哂又無咩味。豆腐青衣魚煲:都6舊魚仔...兩個煲都用咗大糧洋蔥舖底,食洋蔥仲多過d餸 涼瓜牛肉叫正常少少。早知見佢咩都無得食,就應該番屋企煮公仔麵食好過
