To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 沙田新城市廣場-北京樓可以永遠blacklist的餐廳1)一去到已經見到碟上有污漬,要求服務員再拎另一隻碟,但另一隻碟上仍有污糟,於是再叫服務員拿,服務員用手捽下個污漬,表示捽得甩不用換。我表示這裏不是大排檔,又正值疫情,碟上唔應有污糟。服務員才說「算!換俾你」2)被安排坐走廊位,好難叫服務員,服務員只服務坐在房內的客人。吃完的碟堆在桌上無人收,上菜員工不肯收碟,叫執枱專員收都唔肯收,話幫你叫人之後又無人幫3)上菜的每隻碟都崩角,有些碟上有4-5 個崩裂位,如果有小朋友,好易割傷4)菜單有鵝掌、海參、龍蝦,但沒有提供刀叉,呢啲菜式用筷子根本難以進食。服務員表示餐廳沒有刀叉,好辛苦才找到2 個刀叉。5)龍蝦個箝有部份殼未弄碎,想搵人拎碎殼器,但又搵唔到人,要用手慢慢撩肉出來,餐廳又無濕紙巾⋯⋯6)一入座已叫拔絲蘋果,服務員當時無表示餐廳售罄,我們當時仲叫後上。到我們用餐完結時,叫服務員上拔絲蘋果,服務員先講沒法提供,因為已經無晒,仲說不是他落單不關他事,之後態度不好話「咁你記唔記得邊個幫你落單呀?」我們發火表示要搵經理。服務員先走開,準備冰水⋯⋯是次晚餐埋單八百幾,人均四百幾蚊,性價比極
