To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 7月13日(星期六)約了屋企人食飯,一行17人最好訂位, 於是訂左油塘大本型嘅和平飯店。 當日打去reconfirm, 佢地話搵唔到booking, 唯有再book過, 兩張檯可能有1張俾方檯, 冇問題啦照要!去到竟然安排到兩張圓檯, 很開心!!! 由於是第二輪晚飯時間, 各自每圍檯叫了半圍套餐,因有3樣餸都沒有了要轉其他餸菜, 但後來所轉餸菜的價錢跟原先的有出入;侍應都很有耐性地給我們解釋並願意退回差额。 首先來了三小碟:爋魚,蒜泥白肉, 鎮江肴肉, 比較喜歡頭兩樣的味道, 爋魚非常入味不太甜,端上來時暧暧脆脆的,想再吃多舊 , 蒜泥白肉的醤汁最好味, 因為混和了蒜蓉在裡面, 和白肉一齊食有很香的蒜蓉味,小朋友用來餸飯最好!套餐內的餸菜水凖都不錯:例如水煮牛肉、由於其他人不嗜辣整碟餸我和阿嫂吃得津津有味;咕嚕桂魚香脆醒胃送飯一流;砂窩雲吞雞湯味清甜適中;上海炒年糕镬氣十足年糕好嚼口;小籠包皮薄裡面的湯要很小心挾才不至於弄穿;燒肉腐皮條及露筍炒温室菜等等都吃得佷滿足,最後奉上甜品高力豆沙及豆沙鍋餅,不過味道就一般;總括來說這餐吃得尚算滿意。
