To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 同老婆慶祝節日, 唔係日本野就西餐或BUFFET就攪掂唔洗諗。反而最頭痕係父親節母親節同老豆老母生日。要佢地岩食得黎又唔可以cheap, 中菜就係最好既選擇。今次適逢老媽生日, 佢衝口而出一句:我想食皮片鴨。朋友推薦我北京樓, 話老字号環境高級, 老人家包中意。一家六口到達北京樓, 老人家係咁話好令好令。我地後生點餐, 叫左個六人餐+散叫一兩道菜。冷盤先上。 海蜇睇上去細細兜, 但原來好夠食。條條都好飽滿同彈牙,唔會碎濕濕。而且充滿麻油味。同平時去飲d乳豬拚海蜇係兩個層次。醉雞的花雕都比外面餐廳來得香醇, 所以老婆嫌大重酒味。老豆阿哥係咁讚好。而且係脾位, 好滑。另外一個好吃之選係蝦球, 個味同酒席食炸蟹拑點果d醬差唔多。最讚係蝦球食得出外層微炸過但入面蝦肉仲係好彈滑。主菜北京填鴨到。 份量原來有兩碟, 塊塊都切得好均勻有皮有脂肪, 我地每次都用兩塊肉兩塊肉咁包, 好滿足。小籠包算水準之作, 但不至驚艷, 同埋6人餐都係得幾粒, 唔夠食, 多叫了一籠。最後埋單接近3000元, 雖然略貴, 但家人都好滿意。值得。
