To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 上一次來旺記,門口大排長龍,結果外賣了薑汁奶茶。有不少留言大讚薑汁奶茶,但我就覺得怪怪的,薑汁同奶也不能完全混合,變成一點點的浮游。今次來吃早餐,點了比較少人提及的四料三文治。材料似是中環裕記的翻版。由於一直沒有機會吃裕記,所以這次很期待。餐飲都係穩穩陣陣,點了熱奶茶。奶茶先上,很香滑!等了十分鐘,三文治到了。麥包看上去沒有牛油金黃的烘色,好像很乾身,一摸之下,原來只是輕輕烘過。材料味道是不錯的,可惜比較濕,麵包㡳都濕了⋯⋯只可說是緊緊合格。看見隔離枱食的通粉和炒蛋都很吸引,下次還是點比較受歡迎的主流食品- 4.3牛奶炒滑蛋。
