To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 呢次食野體驗真係麻麻地首先,1個人食等左60分鐘,真係...做緊7折,多人都無法子啦入到去,想叫野食啦,舉手近1分鐘都無人理,弊在明明都多職員行黎行去,就係唔用眼睇下顧客有無需要咁岩manager行過幫我落單,忍唔住叫佢提下班waiter啦叫左和牛定食,都好期待架,$129喎,值唔值先?野飲好快上黎,凍柚子茶,不過不失啦~無咩好講.前菜沙律,呢個真心好味,麻醬香得黎又唔膩,酸酸甜甜,加上蔬菜爽脆,令我心情好番好多牛角飯,其實就係紫菜飯,好和味,仲有得免費追加添問左個男waiter,可以只追加紫菜,佢都幾好,我話完追加後,隔離台落單落好耐,佢見到夥計經過,即刻叫人幫我加紫菜,好記性和牛牛肋骨,好少,牛得6啖咋,不過真係好好食,肉汁多,牛味濃,唔使加醬都咁惹味昆布湯,咸左D燒緊既樣~本來都覺得無白等架啦,仲開開心心賣單,估唔到最後都係唔老皮出左門口睇番menu單張,原來個餐有跟雪糕,無上比我唔係貪佢杯雪糕,只係覺得一間中價位又有收加一既日本食店,有咩理由野食都上唔齊?第一次食既客仔,真係唔清楚架嘛我食和亭,佢都會係賣單時問句:野食係米上齊啦?問門口個waitress,其實個餐係米有跟雪糕?
