To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 此新開的太興佔據了往時幾個鋪位,想不到特別日子這兒客人不多(反而隔壁的和亭多人等到...)一直未吃過太興的小菜,難得今次晚上來便可以一試。點菜是「各自表述」的時候,所以菜名價錢也沒有太在意,反正個名改得天花龍鳳都是那些罷了。我只記得我點的例牌燒肉是 $52,另外我們全部人都加了錢轉套餐,即是有飯和飲品,但轉餐要加 $19 ,好貴!太興畢竟也是燒味起家,點燒味應該也幾穩陣,是以燒肉品質不差的,起碼做到肥瘦均稱,肉質爽口不乾,就是皮不夠脆。價格當然是偏貴了。我因為喉嚨痛所以點了鹹檸水,算是比較有特色的飲品選擇。跟著又是肉(梅菜扣肉+ 咕嚕肉),前者如果多汁一點的話當是下飯妙品,後者的只吃了一件菠蘿和一件稍為硬的咕嚕肉。還有沒有攝入鏡頭的鹹魚蒸肉餅,愛吃重口味食物的朋友說不錯,我就沒有試了。反而影不到的蝦醬銀魚啫啫芥蘭煲,夠惹味,最好食!芥蘭是幼身的,所以鮮嫩無筋,銀魚蝦醬香噴噴,雖然一大鍋上桌其實內裡份量不算多,但其氣勢已足夠懾人!埋單每人六十多元(其中一杯飲品要凍飲好像要另外再加錢),是不便宜的價錢。那當然,價錢好一部份去了租金和環境那裡了。
