To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 近年的北京樓,已一再令我失望。特別是「烤北京填鴨」,無可否認,在父親節的晚上,非常多人,店員是各有各忙,而烤鴨上桌時,已見鴨身沒有光澤,亦輕微凹陷,所謂的師傅走在一旁努力地片皮,一隻接著一隻,上桌時,鴨只是和暖。這個時候吃的片皮鴨,怎會好吃!還有話兒要說,麼麼皮提供有限,要再上一碟更要另外收費,片皮鴨卻片了兩大碟,我們一圍十一人,根本就是不夠用。片出來的鴨亦不平均,並不專業,有的皮少肉多,有兩三片只皮,有兩舊只肉,亦堆在一碟中,我不曉得是師傅有心為之,還是胡來,唯從比例上看該是胡來吧,而只皮的,又沒有黃糖提供,怎能算是正統北京的「北京烤鴨」,而麼麼皮亦冷,該蒸暖上桌才是吧!我們要求多來一碟麼麼皮,卻遲遲不來,鴨冷了,要硬吃了!前菜其中一味「茉莉茶燻素鵝」,像是在吃沒味的東西,茉莉茶嘛?我再看餐牌,才知其名為有茉莉茶,但吃不出來。另一前菜「七里莊酒槽醉雞」,不知是什麼酒了,只知酒味是沒有,雞味亦沒有。「綠明清炒鮮蝦仁」用的是蝦仔,味道清淡,沒有鮮味,亦略微過熟。「北海翡翠龍鳳羹」,其實即是海鮮羹,味道卻是非常清淡,似是沒有下鹽吊味,幸運的是不至於難吃。「北京炒拉麵」,拉麵並非新鮮即拉,不

這個餐,當中令我覺得好吃的,就只有「紫竹園小蔥海蜇」和「魯大海松鼠黃魚」,海蜇爽口彈牙,味道不錯。「魯大海松鼠黃魚」即是糖醋魚,炸得外脆皮尚薄,甜和酸味均稱,酸味沒有嗆鼻,不錯吃。

兒時吃北京樓,還記得是有即場拉麵的表演,那時覺得北京樓很高檔,儘管那時尚未明白什麼是美味,但感覺就是到了高級食府吃美食似的,最近兩三回,都是到星光行的北京樓,吃畢的感覺都不是味兒,給著貴價而不好吃,特別是「烤北京填鴨」,最近兩次都是失望,拿著北京的名字而吃不到正宗。集團式經營也許如此吧,今時今日的北京樓,我已確認不再美味了,亦可冠以「港式京菜」之名!老北京店?還是算吧!
