To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 猶記得第一次光顧南記,是太太帶在下去,多年來,售價依然保持在合理水平,個人最喜歡在下午茶時段幫趁,可說是平、靚、正之選。下午茶今次來不及光顧,散叫亦問題不大,招牌春卷加墨魚丸配河粉,另外再加灼菜澆牛腩汁,算起來不到$40。魚肉春卷很香口,軟綿入味;墨魚丸咬來味道偏淡,但總算彈牙;河粉很滑溜,喝口湯,感覺師傅不太重手,可以接受。生菜底一向喜歡澆牛腩汁,因為沾上牛油的濃香及味道的生菜,即時昇華,好吃得多了。
