To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 星期一,有新同事上任,於是阿sir (senior manager) 請食飯。一行五人,叫了春卷+ 小籠包+ 風沙雞+ 水煮牛肉+ 雞油豆苗,後來仲加左一蒸一炸銀絲卷。我幾鍾意個春卷,凍左食都脆,個餡係菜黎o既,好好食。風沙雞都幾好,通常出去食飯我好怕食雞,因為驚食到d有血水的雞,呢度有冇呢個問題,d肉仲幾入味添。d炸蒜都唔錯,好乾身,唔會油淋淋咁。小籠包幾好食,皮都幾薄,都幾多汁,不過我d同事就經常地整穿左個皮。雞油豆苗真係正,我本身鍾意食豆苗o既,d豆苗好有菜味,唔會淡茂茂咁,好好食。由於我唔食牛的關係,水煮牛肉我淨係食左d瓜類物體。都幾夠辣,幾香,唔錯唔錯。不過我就唔係好鍾意個銀絲卷,可能係我個人問題啦,個炸銀絲卷面頭太油喇。
