To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日與同事加完班放工搵野食,去到荃灣見到牛角未收,而且有宵夜時段,當然立即去食啦,佢宵夜啤酒買一送一,正呀天氣咁熱。一邊飲住一邊才選食物,佢地宵野有三款牛選擇,我們叫左最貴那隻上級美國牛,牛味會濃些,另加配了牛舌、菇、帶子、雞肉。肉質唔錯,鮮美重牛味個菇正,放入去慢慢燒吸晒牛油,燒到個底收晒水焦焦地才好食,急凍帶子和雞件就一般。飲完杯啤酒,同朋友來一邊燒等熟外,當然要吹水,吹水又點少得酒。當晚特選清酒都是$70,當然叫枝一齊飲冰凍嘅清酒配燒肉正呀。最好甜品點綴,以心太軟收尾。全部加埋才6百幾。人均$350
