To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 一家人相約晚飯,選了近妹妹居住點的「八月花」,由於我稍遲到達,妹妹已發辦點好菜。一坐下,就已上好這幾味菜。露筍炒螺片,不錯!桂花蟹肉炒仿翅,幾爽口,不錯!脆脆BB豬沙律,BB豬肥了一點,無乜肉,好一般!來個大合照😆左邊的「明前龍井」無乜茶味🤨,茶葉落得唔夠!之後再上半隻炸子雞,做得不錯,皮夠薄又夠脆,很入味,根本不用加調味料。後加一個味滋羊架伴米糕,好難食!不知怎樣形容,總之好難食,我咬了兩口就放棄了!4支羊架有1支無食過!上甜品前侍應來收碟,也問我們:「唔食埋佢?」我們也不知怎樣回答!最後叫咗芒果雪糕楊枝甘露、薑汁湯圓、兩碗蛋白杏仁茶,非常滿足!
