To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 上星期平日去南丫島一日遊,食海鮮都算係必然既目的所以去之前上OR搵定邊間好食,揀左大家所講既呢間老實小店的確,呢間係幾老實,老闆炒既都大大碟可能當時全場只有我地一台客以名氣相比,鄰邊的比較多客,或者是平日,名氣店都只有數台人客叫左4XX 6味送既SET揚州炒飯:比較淡左少少,我地冇叫白飯,所以呢個淡淡地OK炸鮮魷:熱lala上碟,沾上酸甜汁好開胃炒白菜仔:淋上豪油既白菜仔我地清得好快薑蔥炒蟹:估唔到都OK多蟹膏,好入味,岩晒重口味既我XX炒聖子:其實本來係炒'顯',不過冇晒,佢上左台先話我地知轉左==不過好夠份量,好好味,算佢啦^^蒸魚(唔記得):好新鮮,雖然好多油淋係豉油上面,不過點晒一齊食好惹味,食唔停汽水$8罐最後送上生果盤及桂花糕^^
