To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 雖然酒樓就係屋企附近,但因為同家人夜晚好少去酒樓食飯所以就冇幫襯過富臨嘅晚市。今日就心血來潮同屋企人嚟食下晚飯。知客好友善,會推介下食咩好。晚市有好多精選小菜揀我地叫咗個金銀菜燉白肺($128),份量好多,侍應話足夠六至八人飲用。足足有一大碟湯渣,有瘦肉、豬肺、雞腳同金銀菜。豬肺洗得好乾淨,而且份量好多又大件。鼓汁蒸白鱔($108)一般出面食嘅鱔都會又細又幼,今次食依條size適中,都幾新鮮。味道唔會過喊,口感爽口,魚皮彈牙。海參花菇玉掌煲($108)花菇又大又腍,海參如果可以炆得軟熟d會更好。
